Stuff no-one told me…………

By MsDilemma | January 19, 2011

Have you seen this guys blog???
His name is Alex Noriega and his blog is

Stuff no-one told me

Amazing
Funny
Talented
Raw

And he says it all with just a drawing (and a few words)

As someone that talks WAY to much I really admire him.

You have to check him out.

I love the way he draws but more importantly…………..his has some really powerful messages.

Like this one

and more favourites

I could honestly put at least another 10 pictures here but I will let you discover them yourself.
You can also purchase T-shirts, mugs and greeting cards from his online store here.

Gotta give talented people the exposure they deserve xox

Magical Monday

By MsDilemma | January 17, 2011

MAGICAL MONDAY……. a picture, quote, something that lifted your mood, made your heart smile
or inspired you to make it a happy day ………or hey! let’s make it a happy week!!

I just couldn’t bring myself to post/blog last week.
Every time I went to write something it just felt so trivial in relevance to the destruction and loss being experienced by the people of Queensland during the flood crisis.
I didn’t feel that it would give anyone a distraction from all their tragedy and despair, I felt it would be insensitive to write about anything that had a material reference when everyone was losing all they had…. not to mention the lives lost of people and animals.
So I gave what I felt was a little respect and now I will hopefully not trivialise their loss and suffering by continuing to share my little life xox

Blog this challenge 65 (1st for me)

By MsDilemma | January 5, 2011

I joined Blog This pretty much as soon as I started blogging in July last year. Its fantastic site that links you to 100′s of other bloggers out there and the blogging communtiy.
Until now I had never joined in on a challenge as I was still trying to get my head around the ‘blog world’ {and it really is a whole other world out there} but it’s a new year so I’m joining in on Challenge 65;  a picture of your new years eve, or a your first picture of 2011!

So here’s my entry and surprise surprise it’s a picture of Acacia……….. but she was our entertainment for New Years Eve!

We loved that we spent our last few hours of 2010 being with Acacia as we watched the fairies DVD for the 4th time {insert slightly insane laugh} and her as she twirled and twirled, having the time of her life.
*sigh* if only life could be this simple ALL THE TIME LOL …………….
It really was a great way to end 2010.

Project Life

By MsDilemma | January 5, 2011

I love Project Life by Becky Higgins

Well pick me up off the floor someone as I have discovered Project Life and I think I’m going to pee my pants!!
I am going through a huge organisation stage……and this just became the cherry on top.
I love the concept, the look, the fun it will be and the wonderful memories it will have.

It incorporates so many of the things I luuuuuurve………taking photos, journaling, scrapbooking, memories & organisation!!

It’s clever creator – Becky Higgins – has a little blog herself and you can find it here and her website here, and I can’t say it better then herself as to why ‘project life’ is so bloody great :

Project Life simplifies how you document life and preserve memories.
Simply pair your photos and journaling with the striking, pre-designed components from the kit and you’ll end up with a stylish masterpiece that represents your life or whatever occasion you choose to record.
With Project Life’s beautifully simple, all-inclusive format, deciding what supplies to use will become obsolete, leaving you more time to experience life.

Couldn’t have said it better myself! {that’s why I didn’t}

There is two different editions:

Amber {the one I’m going to get}

Turquoise:

You get the whole pack which includes everything you need to start straight away – all you need to do it put it all together and start taking the photos!

Here is a really helpful video from the creator Becky which not only helps you get started it also really highlights the pack……

I can’t wait for the mail ……….I feel a tad sorry for the postie as I will be stalking him on a daily basis now.

Oh, and if this has rocked your socks too email me or let me know via comments as it would be great to share the journey!!!

*please note: this is just something I found and loved…..I am not getting anything for this post {damn it}

Magical Monday ~ the new (not so) Melancholy Monday

By MsDilemma | January 2, 2011

(not so) Melancholy Monday started here and although I’m still not really a Monday person, a few things have changed since I wrote that post back in July 2010.

Firstly, it’s a new yr 2011 and new beginnings.

Secondly, I have a new job starting next week so I’m not in that ” Then the 20 minute drive to work…to a job I really don’t enjoy anymore” space any more. Yay!

Thirdly, I will be back to working a full week, so I want my Monday to be MAGICAL to get me through, until I can spend quality time with my little family.

So, MAGICAL MONDAY still can be a picture, quote, something that lifted your mood, made your heart smile
or inspired you to make it a happy day ………or hey! let’s make it a happy week!!

like this little gem

feel free to join in………

♥ This week I’m grateful for…..

By MsDilemma | December 18, 2010

Grateful for my talented Auntie Lonnie for her fabulous sewing skills and making me some wonderful skirts.
You will never know just HOW much I appreciate all your hard work.
Without you, well, I would be walking around in my knickers…
hahaha…
ewwww!!!

Grateful that I have some creative blood which is enabling me to make some Xmas presents.
Usually I get quite extravagant over Xmas spending way to much money but having so much fun buying things for everyone.
Due to this we just don’t have the dosh, so I am making them instead.
If I was perfectly honest, I’m enjoying making everything so much more…..hmmmmmm.

Grateful for this little monkey…

…who makes me laugh and never ceases to amaze me with all that she has learned so far in her 33 months!
She has helped me stay strong and keep things in perspective over the last couple of months.
I am forever grateful for her being a part of our lives.

♥ ♥ ♥

I’m linking up to the fabulous Maxabella’s Grateful Saturday because her blog ROCKS!!  It’s a wonderful way to spread the gratitude!!xox

Picking up the pieces………

By MsDilemma | December 17, 2010

So, again I deserted my little blog.

I honestly have to say that I just couldn’t find the inspiration to write anything when our little world was falling apart.

You see when I wrote this post
I had no idea that just a few days later Lindsay would be “let go” from his work.
What the hell do they mean by let go anyway???
We have to let you go so you can go home and drink yourself into oblivion?
We have to let you go so you can take that trip to the Bahamas???

Seriously!!!!

Anyone that’s an employer out there …a little tip for you…
When you SACK SOMEONE say it honestly and drop the
“we have to let you go”
Here to make it easy or you a little example;
Sorry Lindsay but we fucked up and now have no work so we can’t employ you any longer and its such a relief that your casual cause all we have to do is ring you and say HASTE-LA-VISTA-BABY.

{ok, yes, I may be a little bitter lol}

I have never been so scared.
We were now both unemployed with a mortgage and enough debt for it to cause us EXTREME levels of stress.

The hardest part is the waiting. Feeling completely out of control of your future.
You can apply for a zillion jobs but at the end of the day someone has to say YES.
So so scary and almost unbearable.
BUT………….we soldiered on and pounded the pavement
(ok the computer keys) and took ourselves off to job interviews.

Someone did say YES.

To us both.

And I can function again.
I can do more than just curl up into a little ball and sleep.

But can someone tell me
HOW THE HECK IT SUDDENLY BECAME A WEEK TILL XMAS???

Help…………………………………..
